Raphinha, currently on international duty with the Brazilian national team, has just announced a clash against Argentina, assuring them he’s ready to thrash them.
The duels between the two teams have always been tense. Raphinha expects a high-level match against Lionel Scaloni’s men, who are without their captain, Messi.
Indeed, on March 26, 2025, Brazil will face Argentina in the 14th round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. A crucial encounter for the Albiceleste, who could already secure their ticket to the world tournament with just a draw.
However, on the verge of early qualification, Argentina could be slowed down by the Seleçao. At least, Raphinha isn’t ready to make things easy for them. In a recent interview he participated in alongside Brazilian legend Romario, the Barça striker promised Argentina hell for the next match.
He sent a clear message to his upcoming opponents, assuring them that he would not hesitate to use every avenue, even if it meant coming to blows, to help his team win.

“We’re going to beat them on and off the pitch if necessary,” declared Raphinha, who then made a promise to the fans: “Yes, I’m going to score,” he assured, as reported by Actu Foot.
And the Barça star concluded by addressing the Argentinian national team: “Fuck them.”
After 13 rounds of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, leading Argentina has 28 points, compared to 21 points for third-place Brazil.
Billed as a match within the match between Lionel Messi and Neymar, the match between Brazil and Argentina will ultimately not feature the participation of both players. They were forced to withdraw due to injuries.
