For him, the difference in skill between Arda Guler and Luka Modric is enormous: “They made a mistake with this boy. Even in retirement, with a retirement home in Croatia and 70 grandchildren, Modric will always be better than Güler.” Luka Modric’s contract expires at the end of the season. It’s rumored that Real Madrid could extend his contract for another season. As for Arda Guler, who is under contract until June 2029, he could go on loan or permanently next summer. It’s up to him to reverse the trend as quickly as possible and secure a future at Madrid.
