Becoming a key figure in the Real Madrid locker room, Camavinga might make a rather special request to the Merengues.
At just 21 years old, Eduardo Camavinga has become an essential part of Carlo Ancelotti’s Madrid squad. Arriving in the Spanish capital in 2021 from Rennes, the young midfielder quickly showcased his talents to establish himself as one of the best in his position.
Camavinga will now aim to win his second Champions League with Real tonight against Dortmund, before joining the French national team’s squad to prepare for Euro 2024, which kicks off in less than two weeks.
A rather unique request to Real Madrid According to Relevo, the French midfielder has asked his club’s management to take over Nacho’s number 6 if the latter’s departure is confirmed.
Indeed, the Spanish central defender is unlikely to extend his Madrid adventure, having only ever played for Real Madrid in his career. Eduardo Camavinga could thus inherit his teammate’s shirt number, as he already wears the number 6 for the French national team.
