While rumors suggest his departure, other sources had mentioned a contract extension, owing to his performances after returning from injury.
However, it seems that the Frenchman is still far from securing a renewal at Real Madrid.
According to Relevo’s information, Ferland Mendy, whose contract expires in 2025, is unlikely to extend his stay.
Real Madrid fears that Mendy might suffer another setback. Thus, the club has decided to sell him if a tempting offer arises.
His mindset and determination are not questioned, but Real Madrid is reluctant to extend his contract to avoid further time spent on the sidelines. One of the heroes of Real Madrid’s Champions League campaign, Ferland Mendy, could therefore leave this summer.
It’s worth noting that to replace him, Real Madrid had already targeted Alphonso Davies. However, the Canadian’s future is uncertain.
In fact, it’s learned that Bayern Munich wants to extend his contract. However, Davies demands a high salary of 6 million euros per year, excluding bonuses.
