The captain of the French national team was in a press conference on Tuesday, June 4, ahead of the friendly match against Luxembourg. Despite his efforts to only talk about the French team, he revisited his transfer to Real Madrid.

“PSG forcefully told me that I wouldn’t play this season. Luis Enrique and Luis Campos saved me. Without them, I would never have been on the field,” he said.

“I’m not going to come here and complain given the things happening in the world. At PSG, I wasn’t unhappy. To say that would be biting the hand that feeds me and spitting in the face of all those who defended me. I was happy at PSG, but there were things that made me unhappy.”
