The upcoming summer transfer window will be an opportunity for Real Madrid to sell some players, both from the first team and from the academy.
With the arrival of Kylian Mbappé and Endrick, Real Madrid’s attack will be much stronger than last season. In addition to these two signings, the attacking line will include five other players: Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Joselu, Brahim Díaz, and Arda Güler.
This situation doesn’t bode well for Álvaro Rodríguez, a player from the academy. Obviously, he won’t have a place in the first team, and there’s no chance of getting playing time under Ancelotti as he did at the beginning of 2023, last season. Rodríguez had then played a few minutes and even scored in a derby at the Metropolitano.
The Spanish-Uruguayan forward, who will turn 20 on July 14th, could therefore leave the club in the near future. Real Madrid has put Álvaro on the market for this summer, as revealed by the Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo.
Furthermore, there is no shortage of interested clubs as he is on the radar of three first division teams: Getafe, Rayo Vallecano, and recently promoted Valladolid. Valladolid is even the most interested club at the moment, to the extent that their executives have already begun negotiations with Real Madrid.
Real Madrid, who will not stand in Álvaro’s way of leaving this summer, have valued the young forward at a figure close to 10 million euros, a price that would be significantly reduced if they retain 50% of his rights, as Real intends to do.
