Real Madrid: Vinicius’ replacement found!

In recent weeks, there has been much speculation surrounding the future of Vinicius Junior, with his departure from Real Madrid, particularly to Saudi Arabia, being hinted at.

The 24-year-old has repeatedly stated his intention to stay at the Santiago Bernabéu for many years, but this hasn’t put an end to the rumors. Vinicius appears to be attracting interest from Saudi Arabia, and as such, his continued presence at Real Madrid is not guaranteed. However, the club’s management is confident and expects the Brazilian superstar to sign a new contract before the end of the season.

However, this confidence is not complete, as Real Madrid’s management has begun planning for the post-Vinicius era. According to Sport, an offer in excess of €250 million would be accepted if the player requested a transfer. In this case, the club has begun drawing up a list of potential replacements.

Real Madrid Interested in Florian Wirtz
According to the Catalan daily, Real Madrid is currently considering two players to replace Vinicius Junior: Nico Williams (Athletic Club) and Florian Wirtz, the Bayer Leverkusen playmaker. At this stage, Williams would be Real Madrid’s preferred choice, as he is Spanish, less expensive, and offers a similar position, primarily playing on the left wing. However, the Wirtz signing could gain momentum if Xabi Alonso replaces Carlo Ancelotti as head coach, which is expected to happen this summer or next.

Real Madrid hopes all these plans prove futile, as they are desperate for Vinicius to stay at the club for many years. However, there is no guarantee of this at the moment.
