The Italian Serie A club, SSC Napoli, has officially announced the transfer of Rafa Marín from Real Madrid. Aged 22, Marín is considered one of the most promising talents of his generation.

Marín joined Real Madrid at the age of 14. After progressing through the club’s youth teams, he made his professional debut with Real Madrid Castilla in 2021.

Last season, he was loaned to Deportivo Alavés in La Liga, where he contributed to the club’s survival in the Spanish top flight.

In a message posted on his social media, Rafa Marín expressed his gratitude to Real Madrid for the years spent at the club.

He also stated that he is eager to take on a new challenge at Napoli.

“I arrived at Valdebebas at the age of 14, ready to sacrifice everything to become a footballer and with a backpack full of dreams. During this time, I achieved some goals, but there are still many more to reach.

This is just the beginning, and we must continue to fight for them, until the end, as I was taught at Real Madrid.

Being part of and growing within the Madridista family is something unique, something that will stay with me forever.

Now is the time to part ways to continue moving forward, with more ambition and strength than ever. Playing for Napoli is a pride, another dream, and it is connected to the work done, also at Deportivo Alavés.

Thanks to everyone who is part of Real Madrid and who has helped me in this process, thanks to their supporters for the support and affection they have always shown me, even in these moments. You are amazing.

Here, I have been trained as a man and as a footballer. I take with me the values: humility, respect, the importance of well-done work, and a winning character, which are the best legacy of this club.”
