After his brilliant football career, Ronaldo Nazario has become less enthusiastic about watching football matches.
In a recent widely circulated statement, the Brazilian legend criticized the current style of play produced by young players as boring. Having played in an era where a player’s quality of play distinguished them more than just the number of goals scored, Ronaldo no longer identifies with today’s football world.
Nowadays, he prefers watching a tennis match over a football match, which he finds boring.
“I think I like tennis more than football,” said the two-time Ballon d’Or winner. “I can no longer watch football matches. I think it’s too boring. I can spend five hours watching tennis. It’s crazy,” declared the Brazilian two-time Ballon d’Or winner.
Ronaldo Nazario’s remarks come just weeks after Ronaldinho’s statement about the Brazilian national football team.
