As is customary in the world of football, Cristiano Ronaldo was asked to choose the best between Ronaldinho and Ronaldo Nazario.

“I don’t like comparisons,” he said. “I prefer to say that both Ronaldo Nazario and Ronaldinho Gaúcho have left their legacy, their history.”

“I can say, by the facts, that I have won more individual titles than them, but both have won World Cups. I sympathize a lot with them. I grew up watching both of them play. Saying who is the best, who is the second best, is not the most important thing. I prefer to say they are idols and they have left a beautiful story in football.”

“I don’t see anyone better than me. No footballer achieves things that I am not capable of doing. There is no player more complete than me. People have the right to prefer Neymar or Messi. But I insist: there is no one more complete than me. (…) You will say that I am arrogant… But, when you are at the top, it’s normal to be criticized. (…) I am the best player in history.”
