Antonio Rudiger is being courted by Saudi Arabia and has received an enticing offer this summer.
Real Madrid lost Nacho and paid a heartfelt tribute to him this Wednesday. Leny Yoro eventually left for Manchester City, and David Alaba is still out for a few months due to injury. Losing Antonio Rudiger would therefore be a significant blow for Carlo Ancelotti.
The German has just completed a very successful season, with 48 matches for Real Madrid and a solid Euro campaign despite the elimination against Spain. It is hardly disputed that the Madrid player is one of the best central defenders in the world right now, if not the best.
The Call of Saudi Arabia
At 31 years old, Antonio Rudiger is undoubtedly at the peak of his career, but one could understand if he wanted to live a bit more “peacefully” after having won everything with Real Madrid. It’s fortunate then that he received an offer from Al-Ittihad this summer, with a salary of around 12-13 million euros per season. However, Fabrizio Romano confirms that Rudiger has no intention of leaving Real Madrid this summer and is not interested in offers from Saudi Arabia. The Madrid club is also not open to letting him go given the current situation.
As it stands, the German is indeed Carlo Ancelotti’s only reliable option, with David Alaba injured, Jesus Vallejo having played only 11 matches in the past two seasons, and Eder Militao not yet back to his best after his cruciate ligament rupture.
