Real Madrid has handed over the keys to a stunning BMW to Mbappé. A car that Florentino Perez also owns, but which he won’t be able to drive.
Real Madrid is determined to make their new star recruit feel at home in his new club. Among the measures aimed at ensuring a smooth integration of the French player, there’s the provision of a car for his travels around the capital and for work. It’s a kind of luxury company car.
Marca reports today that Mbappé has been given a BMW i7 M70 xDrive. While it might not be the most powerful model from the German brand, it is undoubtedly the most luxurious. With numerous options, such as automatic door opening and closing, control of the climate from the passenger or rear armrest, and seat massage settings, this model is quite unique. In terms of driving, the car impresses with its handling, featuring active stabilizers and electronically controlled shock absorbers. Practically, this means the BMW corners almost flat, regardless of the speed. The i7 also “sees” the road and can anticipate any upcoming potholes or speed bumps. It adjusts the suspension accordingly to ensure a smooth ride.
Among the many features too numerous to list here, the incredible interior is also impressive. The front seats can retract to allow the rear seats to fully recline, and then a 32-inch TV screen can be deployed from the ceiling. The screen is obviously connected to the network, allowing Kylian to watch video compilations of CR7, his long-time idol, in utmost comfort. This BMW i7 model ranges in price from €130,000 to €200,000 depending on the options. A true luxury behemoth on wheels that, unfortunately, Mbappé will not be able to drive.
Although the Bondy native will turn 26 in December, he still does not have a driver’s license.
“It’s one of the downsides of succeeding early. I missed out on simple things like having a driver’s license. I think almost everyone has one; for many people, it’s a necessity, but it wasn’t for me,” the Frenchman admitted a few years ago.
So, his gorgeous BMW may remain in the garage for a while longer, or at least be used by his family in the meantime. It’s worth noting that Mbappé isn’t the only one in this situation at Real Madrid. For example, his new teammate, Jude Bellingham, also doesn’t yet have his license.
