This summer, Paris Saint-Germain is seeing some of its players depart. This includes Kylian Mbappé, but also Layvin Kurzawa, whose contract is also expiring. In an interview with L’Équipe, the 31-year-old left-back discusses his future career plans.
No longer part of PSG’s plans for the past three seasons, Layvin Kurzawa’s contract is coming to an end.
The 31-year-old left-back is now free to join the club of his choice and has several options despite the chaotic end to his Parisian adventure, having played only eight matches in the last three years (two with PSG, one on loan at Fulham). Speaking to L’Équipe, Kurzawa commented on where he would like to go next.
“I am open to everything. Money is not the priority. I need a real sports project and a place where my family and I will feel at peace. I would like to have a quiet life. I experienced peace in London; we could go to the park without being surrounded by people with bad intentions. In Paris, I have to have security in front of my house all the time. In nine years, we have been robbed three times. That’s not a life,” Layvin Kurzawa said.
“I find myself with interest from clubs I didn’t even think about.”
In another interview with Carré, the player detailed the offers he has received so far: “Today, I find myself with interest from clubs I didn’t even think about. I have offers, firm and concrete interests. Interest from Betis? Yes, that’s true, and if I took the time to visit their facilities, it’s because it’s a project that appeals to me. I have spoken with both clubs in Seville, but I have not visited Sevilla FC’s facilities.”
