Kylian Mbappé recently traveled to France to consult a specialist about his knee injury, with the agreement of Real Madrid.
Still troubled by his left knee, the French forward will miss tonight’s match against Getafe, and his participation in the Champions League round of 16 against Manchester City also looks uncertain. The club is vague about the situation, but according to Arbeloa, it could be a matter of a few days to several weeks of absence.

This injury comes at the worst time of the season and has lingered for nearly three months. Mbappé got hurt against Celta Vigo on December 7, before really stopping in early January. L’Equipe had mentioned three weeks of unavailability, but he was back on the pitch as early as January 11, during the Supercup final against Barça.
According to Marca, Mbappé is unhappy with how the Real Madrid medical staff is handling his injury. Last week, he went to France for a second opinion, explaining his absence against Benfica in the Champions League. The player feels that, three months after his injury, the club has not found an effective solution to relieve his knee issues, which has led to a drop in performance and sparked anger from Mbappé and his entourage.

The goal, which led to the stoppage last week, was clear: to be at 100% for the double-header against Manchester City, scheduled for March 11 and 17. However, nothing guarantees that he will regain his full physical capacity for these crucial matches. The chances of seeing him start at the Bernabéu in just over a week remain very slim.
