Sad news: Real Madrid in mourning

Real Madrid C. F., its president Florentino Pérez, and the entire Board of Directors express their deep sadness following the passing of Santiago Aguado, a distinguished member of our Board. They extend their heartfelt condolences to his wife, Beatriz Martínez de Medinilla Moro, his children Marta, Rocío, Santiago, Enrique, and Belén, as well as to all his family and loved ones.

Santiago Aguado was loyal to Real Madrid for over seven decades, having joined the club in 1957. He served on the Boards chaired by Florentino Pérez, first from July 12, 2004, to July 2, 2006, and then from June 1, 2009, until today.

Also committed to the Real Madrid Foundation, he was a board member from September 9, 2004, to July 2, 2006, and then again starting November 4, 2009.

During his time on the Board, Real Madrid won 59 titles, including 6 European Cups in football and 3 European Cups in basketball.

Santiago Aguado will remain an example of loyalty, commitment, and passion for Real Madrid. His passing is a tremendous loss for our club and for all Madridistas. He leaves us at the age of 89. May he rest in peace.
