Neymar, seriously injured last October with Brazil, embarked on a new adventure at sea during his convalescence period, away from the football fields. Al Hilal coach Jorge Jesus admits that Neymar’s private life takes precedence over football, which completely annoys him when he sees Cristiano Ronaldo prioritizing football since joining the Saudi Pro League.

Neymar was sidelined for four months due to his injury. During this time, he explored a new passion for the sea with a cruise ship. A situation which greatly disturbs Al Hilal coach, Jorge Jesus, who compares the mentality of his star Auriverde to that of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese technician believes that Neymar prioritizes his private life over football.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is more passionate about football and that’s why he makes it his priority. Neymar is more passionate about other things and puts those other things, i.e. his private life, above all else. But as a player he is fabulous. And as a man, I spent a month and a half with him and he surprised me positively in all areas,” said Jorge Jesus, coach of Al Hilal, current leader of the Saudi Pro League ahead of Al Nassr by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Portuguese technician Jorge Jesus also expressed his regret over Neymar’s latest injury. He emphasizes that the former Parisian is a real loss of offensive quality for Al Hilal. Despite this, the club continues to perform and sits at the head of the Super Pro League.

“I had never worked with Neymar. We worked for a month and a half, no more. It’s something out of the ordinary, out of the ordinary. We therefore lost quality, at least on the offensive level. He’s an easy guy to lead, he’s very kind and understanding,” he added.

Neymar’s return to the field is still a long way off, but his maritime escapades are making headlines in the meantime. Al Hilal maintains its success in the absence of its Brazilian star, and has won its matches and remains competitive in the Saudi Pro League.
