Hansi Flick, the FC Barcelona coach, shared his thoughts after his team’s match against Brest.
This Tuesday evening, FC Barcelona set out to strengthen their position in the Top 8. To achieve this, the Blaugrana needed a win against Stade Brestois, who held a one-point advantage before kickoff. After the match, Hansi Flick reflected on his team’s victory over the spirited Pirates: “I am very pleased; we earned those three goals. We could have scored more, but I’m satisfied with the team’s overall performance.” Right after the final whistle, the Catalan coach headed straight to Lamine Yamal, who was absent from the clash.
Lamine Yamal back in training tomorrow
After being sidelined for several weeks due to an ankle injury, Lamine Yamal hasn’t played since November 6th, during the match against Red Star Belgrade. However, the young talent of FC Barcelona is expected to return to training tomorrow. “I told him I hope he’ll be with us on Saturday. He will train with us tomorrow,” Hansi Flick revealed after the match.
This return is crucial for a struggling Barça, who have gone without a win in their last two Liga matches and are now closely pursued by Real Madrid, who have closed the gap to just one point. The Blaugrana will need to bounce back on Saturday when they host Las Palmas at the Montjuïc stadium.
