Striker Endrick gave an interview to Romario on the Brazilian legend’s YouTube channel.

Having arrived at Real Madrid last summer at the age of 18, Endrick is slowly but surely adapting to his new club. The Brazilian has played just over 500 minutes in the Whites in 28 matches, including four as a starter. His average playing time is less than 20 minutes, and half of his appearances have come after the 85th minute.

Real Madrid
Asked if this lack of playing time bothered him, Endrick replied: “I have no complaints. I’ve changed my mentality a lot at Real Madrid, and even if I don’t play much, every time I do, thank God, I come on and score a goal to help my team.”

“For me, it’s a privilege to be at a club as big as Real Madrid, with the best players in the world. The three best players in the world are Rodrygo, Mbappé and Vini… and that’s our attacking trio!” he explains humbly.

“It’s an inexplicable feeling to be with the best, to always be learning, to always be improving, which is the most important thing for me. I’m only 18 at Real Madrid, I have to enjoy life and football. And that’s what I’m doing,” Endrick continued.

Brazil and the World Cup
The striker then discussed the possibility of not being part of the Brazilian national team that will go to the World Cup. “The truth is, I would be very sad not to play in the World Cup. My father told me that it happened to you too, that you were waiting and they didn’t call you up. So I have that fear, because it’s one of my dreams. I would like to help Brazil win its sixth title.”

He added: “Of course, it’s difficult to be at the biggest club in the world and not have the opportunity to play all the time. But every time I play, I can always prove that I have the level to be in the national team. I hope that next year I can be part of the squad and, God willing, we can win the World Cup.”
