After Brazil’s elimination from the Copa America against Uruguay, Brazilian forward Endrick discussed his future plans.
He had previously avoided questions about his next club but now admitted he was thinking about Real Madrid. Following the defeat, Endrick will take a few days off before joining Real Madrid, who will resume training on July 15th before heading to the United States for a tour.
“My mind is now on Real Madrid,”
“Yes, it’s time to think about Real Madrid. But it’s difficult to talk because unfortunately today a horrible thing happened with this elimination. My mind is now on Real Madrid,” said the forward in the mixed zone.
Additionally, the young striker praised one of his future teammates at Real Madrid, Fede Valverde, who knocked Brazil out on penalties in the Copa America. “Fede is a great player. He’s phenomenal to me, someone who gives everything for his team and his national team. I’m grateful to have played against him today.”
Focus with Brazil: “It’s been days of hard work. Strange heat. We trained in the afternoon in very hot conditions. I worked hard to have a chance with Brazil, as I said a few days ago. I was waiting for my moment. God and Dorival gave me the opportunity to start as a starter. Unfortunately, we lost.”
New goals for Brazil: “We need to work from the basics. We only played eight games. We know we can give more, but we’re improving. We have a new generation. But, as I said, I hope the fans will stay with us in the upcoming qualifying matches. I know it’s very difficult after such a moment. It’s hard to see our country fall in the quarterfinals, but I hope the fans will be with us.”
