Former Real Madrid full-back Marcelo has finally spoken out a few days after his departure from Fluminense.
The former Brazilian international had his contract terminated following a disagreement with the club’s coach, Mano Menezes.
During a match, Marcelo showed a lack of cooperation by refusing to listen closely to his coach’s instructions as he was being prepared to enter the game. This behavior immediately irritated the club’s coach, Mano Menezes, who, faced with Marcelo’s apparent disregard for respect and discipline, swiftly changed his plans. Clearly displeased with Marcelo’s attitude, Menezes opted to cancel the planned substitution, leaving the former Real Madrid player on the bench rather than bringing him onto the field as intended.

The former Real Madrid captain finally spoke out, expressing gratitude to several members of Fluminense, though he notably omitted any mention of the coach.
