Hardly used since the start of the season, Endrick is being urged to leave Real Madrid. The 18-year-old Auriverde striker has reportedly received an incredible loan offer from the Premier League, to which he has been quick to respond.
At just 18 years of age, Endrick continues to make waves. While Real Madrid’s young Brazilian striker is attracting the attention of several European clubs, including Premier League side Southampton, his future remains uncertain. According to Fichajes, interest from the Saints is the most concrete. Other sides such as Roma and Valladolid have also reportedly shown an interest, but for Endrick the outlook seems clear. The Brazilian striker, who has been overlooked for this international break, wants to make his mark at Real Madrid.
In a statement relayed by Marca, the young prodigy was quoted as saying that he remains ‘focused on the day-to-day work until the opportunity presents itself’. Although his playing time is limited, his commitment has not wavered. And while he may appear to be on the back foot in sporting terms, he still enjoys the confidence of his coach, Carlo Ancelotti. The latter was particularly reassuring after Endrick’s performance in the friendly against Stuttgart in the Champions League, where the Brazilian scored a decisive goal.
Ancelotti’s praise, Endrick remains patient at Real Madrid
Following Real Madrid’s 3-1 victory over Stuttgart, in which Endrick scored an incredible goal, Carlo Ancelotti was full of praise for his young player. “I was worried before and during the match. Now I’m not worried any more. Endrick showed courage for the last goal. The best decision seemed to be to take the lead at three to one, but he was convinced. He did well. It was difficult, but it worked,” said the Transalpine coach.
“Endrick is capable of doing things that nobody else thinks of. In any case, I didn’t think of that. He has the gift of being very efficient. You can tell there’s something special about him. He also has a very strong and quick punch,” he added.
For Endrick, staying at Real Madrid means facing fierce competition, but also benefiting from an environment conducive to development. Although clubs like Southampton and Valladolid could offer him more playing time, the Brazilian seems to favour a long-term approach. His progression, as Ancelotti has indicated, is based on hard work and his ability to make the most of the opportunities that come his way. With technical and physical qualities that continue to impress, Endrick could well become a major asset for Real Madrid in the seasons to come.
