Real Madrid and FC Barcelona meet in the final of the Spanish Super Cup, barely three months after the Clasico in Montjuic, won by the Meringues (1-2).
The team led by Carlo Ancelotti earned their place in the final by eliminating Atlético de Madrid, 5-3 (including extra time). An impressive performance which attests to the determination of the Meringues in the race for the trophy.
For its part, FC Barcelona, under the direction of Xavi Hernández, took out Osasuna by winning in Riyadh 2-0. A disappointing result for the Blaugranas, but the final against Real Madrid offers an opportunity to bounce back and reaffirm their status on the Spanish scene. The two coaches have just revealed their typical team.
At Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti prefers Lunin to Kepa in goals. The rest is classic with Carvajal, Mendy, Rudiger, Bellingham, Vinicius and Rodrygo. Toni Kroos who made an interesting entry against the Colchoneros takes the place of Luka Modric. Opposite, Xavi Hernandez replaces Raphinha, withdrawn by Pedri, who made a good start against Osasuna.
