On loan at Al Ettifaq, Seko Fofana is about to leave Al Nassr and Saudi Arabia in January. The African champion is highly rated on the market and could make a sensational return to Europe. According to reports in 225foot, Trabzonspor have set their sights on the Ivorian international, who is currently on loan at Al Ettifaq from Al Nassr. Known for his physical strength and vision, Fofana, a former RC Lens player, could add significant value to the Turkish club’s midfield.
Negotiations in the offing, the pace quickens for Seko Fofana
Under contract with Al Nassr until June 2026, Seko Fofana is valued at €16 million. Trabzonspor are preparing to open talks with the Saudi club about a transfer. Such a move could prove costly for the Turkish club, not least because of Fofana’s high wages, which earn him €15.2 million a year at Al Ettifaq.
At 29, Seko Fofana remains a key player and has already clocked up 837 minutes in 12 games across all competitions this season. His experience and box-to-box profile could be key assets for Trabzonspor, who aspire to shine in the Turkish league and on the European stage.
