Officially reappointed as the head coach of Ghana on Friday, Otto Addo unveiled his list of 26 Black Stars selected for the friendly matches against Nigeria (March 22) and Uganda (March 26), which will take place in Marrakech, Morocco.

This list is marked by the inclusion of five new players, including Mohammed Baba Diomandé from Glasgow Rangers. His call-up to the Black Stars has sparked controversy.

Indeed, Mohammed Diomandé is Ivorian by birth but was trained at the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana. He was also called up a few days earlier by the Ivorian U23 Elephants, for whom he has one cap. The question of which national team he should opt for remains unanswered.

Transferred to Scotland in January from FC Nordsjælland (Norway), Baba Mohamed Diomandé has made an impressive start with his new team. Wearing the Glasgow Rangers colors, he has played 8 matches across all competitions, scoring 2 goals and providing an assist. His fine performances have caught the attention of both his country of origin and his training country.
