Serge Aurier’s adventure at Galatasaray may not extend beyond this summer and could come to an end in June. Arriving last February after winning the AFCON with Ivory Coast, the right-back is now facing the threat of departure.
Since the announcement of his transfer until today, Serge Aurier has not yet played a single match for Galatasaray. This is due to an injury that has kept the Ivorian international away from the pitch.
Despite this, he maintains a good atmosphere with his teammates and has a positive attitude during team gatherings. Last week, it was announced that Serge Aurier would soon return to action as the club’s management appreciates his attitude. However, recent developments have changed things. According to the latest reports from FotoMaç, Galatasaray no longer intends to continue the adventure with Serge Aurier.
The sole reason cited is that the Turks have turned their attention to another target they have been eyeing since last summer. At the moment, no agreement has been reached with the targeted player. Thus, the Ivorian could still persuade his bosses to change their minds if he proves decisive in the next two months. Valued at 6 million euros, Aurier was earning €3,044,273 (1,978,777,450 FCFA) with Nottingham.
