The 1st Vice President of the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF), Mr. Malick Tohé, held a press conference on Monday, May 27, 2024, at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium to unveil the “Collector” jersey for supporters.
On the front of the jersey: a cleanliness strip adorned with the FIF logo in color; an authentication sticker; supporters in shadow play in the background; an emulation converging towards victory.
On the back of the jersey: three stars to symbolize the three AFCON victories; the official supporters’ logo; an emulation converging towards victory; supporters in shadow play in the background.
It should be noted that this jersey is intended for supporters and will not be worn by the Elephants during the World Cup qualifiers against Gabon and Kenya.
The price of the jersey is set at 25,000 FCFA. On the internet, netizens have given their opinions on the new jersey. “Reason would dictate that we make an affordable jersey (for example, 10,000 FCFA) for the majority of our citizens.
