Already used to controversy with PSG on social networks, Serge Aurier has done it again by attacking Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Serge Aurier and PSG have a tumultuous history, particularly when social networks come into play. In February 2016, during the infamous Periscope affair, Serge Aurier, then a Paris Saint-Germain defender, broadcast a live video, openly criticizing his coach Laurent Blanc and several of his teammates, including using inappropriate language. His comments created a huge media scandal. PSG reacted by sanctioning Aurier, who was sidelined for several weeks.
Aurier lashes out at Donnarumma for his save
This painful memory inevitably comes back to mind today, with a new crackdown from Aurier on social networks. The target of his polemical outburst was PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who was not blameless against Liverpool when he failed to make a sufficient save from Elliott’s lone Reds shot. After the match, Aurier was quick to criticize the Italian keeper. “The other one has only one save to make in this match,” said Aurier, emoji in hand. Not enough to boost his popularity with Parisian fans.
