Seko Fofana could permanently change clubs in Saudi Arabia. After playing in the latter part of the 2023/24 season at Al Ettifaq, the club wishes to retain him in their squad. Al Ettifaq has reportedly made an offer to Al Nassr to sign Seko Fofana permanently.

On July 18, 2023, Seko Fofana officially left RC Lens to join a new project in Saudi Arabia. He signed a contract until June 2026 with Al Nassr to bring his experience to the team. However, Seko Fofana was reportedly dissatisfied with his playing time and opted for a loan move.

The Ivorian midfielder joined Al Ettifaq on January 30, 2024, on a six-month loan. Seko Fofana has become a key player for Al Ettifaq, featuring in 14 matches with two goals and two assists. While he is expected to return to Al Nassr on June 30, Al Ettifaq aims to keep him.

The Dammam-based club has made an €18 million offer to Al Nassr to secure Seko Fofana permanently, and negotiations are currently underway to reach a suitable agreement with all parties involved.

Since joining Saudi Arabia, Seko Fofana’s market value has decreased. The 29-year-old Ivorian is now valued at €16 million on Transfermarkt.
