The Ivory Coast African Cup of Nations brought in a profit of 80 million dollars for CAF

The 34th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast 2024 generated around $80 million for the Confederation of African Football.

This figure was disclosed by the president of the Confederation of African Football, Patrice Motsepe, in an exclusive interview with the French television channel France 24.

“We’ve made over $80 million. That’s the profit. If we look at previous editions, we made around $4 million. So we’ve jumped to $80 million, and a significant portion of this money goes to the 54 countries to develop football,” stated Patrice Motsepe.

According to the CAF president, his aim is to provide more money to African countries in the future.

The 34th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire 2024 was won by Côte d’Ivoire.
