A few months ahead of the start of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), the Moroccan team has received some distressing news.
Absent during the match against Congo (a 6-0 victory) in the 4th round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Romain Saïss, the captain of the Moroccan team, could soon announce his retirement from international football.
