One year after acquiring Oussama El Azzouzi, Bologna is reportedly interested in another Moroccan international player.
Signed last summer from Union Saint-Gilloise on a four-year deal, Moroccan midfielder Oussama El Azzouzi (23 years old) could soon be joined at Rossoblu by a teammate from the national team. This teammate is center-forward Youssef En-Nesyri (27 years old, 73 caps, 20 goals), who is a major attraction in the transfer market from Sevilla.
Already courted by Fenerbahçe under José Mourinho in Turkey, Al-Qadsiah in Saudi Arabia, and AS Roma, the striker, whose contract ends next year, has attracted interest from the fifth-placed team in Serie A last season, just ahead of Roma. According to Il Resto del Carlino, the new coach Vincenzo Italiano aims to recruit the two-time Europa League winner (2020, 2023).
The report also suggests that Italiano is seeking a center-forward to replace the likely departure of Joshua Zirkzee, potentially to Manchester United. However, he faces fierce competition for En-Nesyri’s signature. Roma, for instance, remains keen on the Atlas Lion, with discussions already held between him and Roma’s coach Daniele De Rossi, and a crucial meeting with the club’s executives scheduled for next week.

Meanwhile, Al-Qadsiah is reportedly leading the race, with their offer of a three-year contract worth €6 million net per season having caught En-Nesyri’s attention, alongside an attractive financial package for Sevilla. Clearly, the former Leganés player has a plethora of options to consider.
