The coach of the Moroccan national team, Walid Regragui, has been scouting some players in Saudi Arabia ahead of the upcoming gathering in June.

After Marc Brys (Cameroon) and Vladimir Petkovic (Algeria), it’s now Walid Regragui’s turn to conduct a reconnaissance tour of players in preparation for the resumption of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in June. According to Le360 Sport, the head of the Atlas Lions traveled to Saudi Arabia. Thursday night, he was in Mecca, specifically at the King Abdul Aziz Stadium to attend the 29th round match of the Saudi Pro League between Al-Wehda and bottom-placed Al-Hazem (0-2).

While he has not been spared from his team’s collective failure, he still has chances of being recalled by the 2022 World Cup semi-finalists. A 51-time international (4 goals), his last appearance with the Moroccan squad dates back to June 13, 2022.
