More than a year after his arrival, Ahmed Musa is said to have left Sivasspor. The news spread like wildfire in Turkey earlier this week.

According to revelations from the media outlet Ajansspor, Sivasspor has parted ways with Ahmed Musa. The reason cited is that the Nigerian international did not meet the expectations of the Turkish club, which is struggling to assert itself in the Süper Lig. The left winger has scored only one goal in 4 matches with the white and reds, who currently sit 6th with 37 points.

According to the same source, Sivasspor made this decision because Ahmed Musa did not return to the club after leaving this winter for the 2023 AFCON. After the competition, he remained out of contact. Meanwhile, journalist Tobi Samuel reveals that the Super Eagles player himself made the decision to leave Sivasspor.

Ahmed Musa has reportedly terminated his contract with Sivasspor

He submitted his termination letter before the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast. Ultimately, the two parties agreed to an amicable separation. The striker chose to leave because he has not received a salary for six months. At present, Sivasspor has not yet officially announced Ahmed Musa’s departure, who is valued at 900,000 euros.
