Taiwo Awoniyi missed Nigeria’s last gathering due to an injury. The forward hasn’t recovered yet and will also miss Nottingham Forest’s next two matches against Crystal Palace and Fulham.
“It’s a tough blow for us as he (Awoniyi) had just returned (from injury). Taiwo’s significance is immense. He gives us another option. I’m not exactly sure how long he’ll be out, but I’m confident we’ll see him back this season.
He’ll definitely miss these two matches,” said Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
The 26-year-old has scored six goals in 17 league appearances for the Reds this season.
