According to Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio’s well-analyzed scenario, this could lead to the departure of the Nigerian international amidst a flurry of transfers. PSG appears poised to strike it big due to their interest in the Super Eagle.
Indeed, the failure to land Joshua Zirkzee has led AC Milan to pursue Spanish striker Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid. If this deal materializes, Atletico will aim to replace Morata with French international Kolo Muani, currently at PSG.
Thus, Paris Saint-Germain would have the means and determination to trigger Victor Osimhen’s €120 million release clause. Once the African Player of the Year joins PSG, Napoli will enter the race to sign Belgian Romelu Lukaku, currently under contract with Chelsea FC.
It’s worth noting that the Blues are also in contention to recruit Victor Osimhen this summer. By the end of the 2023/24 season, the Super Eagle has scored 17 goals and provided 3 assists in 32 matches across all competitions.
Under contract until 2026, Osimhen is valued at €100 million by Transfermarkt. He earns an annual salary of €12,820,000 (8,333,000,000 FCFA).
