The transfer of Victor Osimhen this summer won’t be a straightforward equation for PSG. Besides the fact that the Nigerian international desires to play in the English Premier League, the demands of the Italian club’s management remain financially stringent, making the situation challenging for Parisians.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, PSG might lose out on securing Victor Osimhen’s signature. Just days before the opening of the summer transfer window, the future of the striker seems to lean towards another season’s extension.
This extension would be tied to a nine-figure release clause. In other words, PSG will have to shell out at least 100 million euros before signing the former Lille player.
And given Aurelio De Laurentiis’s stance, this financial margin is non-negotiable and unlikely to be reconsidered. Victor Osimhen’s representatives have acknowledged the situation and are unwilling to enter into direct conflict with Napoli’s management. However, PSG needs to make a significant effort if they’re keen on securing the Super Eagles’ transfer.
Apart from PSG, Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham, and Newcastle United are also interested in the Lagos-born player. He’s valued at 110 million euros in the market. Victor Osimhen earns €12,820,000 per season (8,333,000,000 FCFA) at Napoli.
