As the summer transfer window draws closer, the suitors for Victor Osimhen’s signature are beginning to pile up.
A new Premier League club, Arsenal, has entered the race for his signature, and the Gunners are expected to compete with two of their English rivals for the Nigerian’s rights.
The suitors return for Victor Osimhen
The Nigerian was one of the most coveted talents during last summer’s transfer window, but the financial ramifications of his signing prevented any deal before the deadline.
He eventually joined Galatasaray on loan, as it was unlikely that he would remain at Napoli, and apart from Manchester United’s offer in January, discussions surrounding Osimhen’s future have calmed down on paper.
However, as the season drew to a close, suitors returned to the fray, hoping to trigger his €75 million release clause (previously €130 million).
Arsenal rivals Chelsea and Man United
The Gunners’ interest is reported by Turkish website Takvim. The north London giants are expected to recruit attacking talent this summer, after major injuries in attack derailed their season this year.
Arsenal will be spoilt for choice if they decide to make Victor Osimhen their summer signing, as Manchester United and Chelsea are also expected to be interested in the former Royal Charleroi striker.
Manchester United rejected a winter bid from the Nigerian, who wanted to finish the season at Galatasaray.
They are expected to come back for the Nigerian, as are Chelsea, whose owner Todd Boehly recently confirmed that he was looking for a striker.
