No more speculations. Victor Osimhen is set to join Chelsea this summer. The Nigerian international, who is departing from Napoli, is on the verge of moving to the Premier League and the Blues.
Osimhen’s departure from Napoli this summer was a certainty. The only uncertainty was his next club. Manchester United, PSG, and Chelsea were all touted as contenders for the 25-year-old striker. Ultimately, his next destination looks to be the London club, despite the departure of manager Mauricio Pochettino.
According to TEAMtalk, Osimhen has given his approval to sign for Chelsea. The Nigerian will pen a 7-year deal and receive a salary slightly higher than what he earned at Napoli. The same source indicates that there is still much to be done for the total agreement to be reached between the Blues and Napoli. This season, the Lagos-born forward has scored 17 goals and provided 4 assists in 31 appearances for Napoli.
Under contract until June 2026 with the Partenopei, the 25-year-old striker is valued at €110 million by Transfermarkt. Victor Osimhen earns a salary of €12,820,000 (8,333,000,000 FCFA) per year.
