Nigerian international defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is expected to join another club soon.

Since his contract expired with Leicester City in England on July 1, 2024, Ndidi has been in discussions with three clubs: Olympique de Marseille, Trabzonspor, and Galatasaray in Turkey. The most likely destination appears to be Galatasaray.

According to Africafoot’s sources, Galatasaray has shown genuine interest in Wilfred Ndidi and negotiations have been ongoing for several days. While an agreement has not yet been reached, discussions are progressing well and are expected to yield results soon.

The former Leicester City player and his representatives are currently negotiating a contract, reportedly around 3 years, with Galatasaray. At present, the other two contenders have not made significant moves.

During his final season with the Foxes, the 27-year-old Nigerian featured in 34 league matches, scoring 6 goals and providing 6 assists. Transfermarkt values him at approximately €16 million. His status as a free agent is expected to attract substantial signing bonuses.

A Lagos native, Ndidi began his career with Nath Boys in Nigeria before moving to KRC Genk in Belgium and subsequently Leicester City for €17.6 million. Unfortunately, after 7 years with the Foxes, he will not be part of their Premier League squad next season.
