William Saliba, the French international defender, is on Real Madrid’s radar as the club looks to strengthen its central defense. With multiple absences in this area, notably Eder Militao and David Alaba, the Spanish club has made defensive reinforcements a priority.
Among the options being considered, the Merengues are interested in two key defensive pillars of Arsenal: William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes. However, the Gunners seem unwilling to part with their two essential players.
According to the Spanish press, Real Madrid is determined to make a move for one of the two defenders. Amid growing speculation, fueled by the approaching winter transfer window, William Saliba recently spoke out to clarify his position regarding his future.
The former OM player, William Saliba, made it clear that he is committed to Arsenal, which he now considers his home. Dismissing any thoughts of leaving, the French defender confirmed his dedication to the project led by Mikel Arteta.
“I feel at home. I signed with the club five years ago, but this is only my third season, and I enjoy everything: the players, the staff, and the supporters. I feel at home, so of course, why not stay?” said the former Saint-Étienne player in an interview with The Mirror.
This statement puts an end to the hopes of Real Madrid fans, who dreamed of seeing the player dubbed the “new Van Dijk” in the Premier League join their ranks.
