Cristiano Ronaldo is already making history in Saudi Arabia. The five-time golden ball winner is already one of Al Nassr’s top 10 scorers.

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia at the end of last year, after terminating his contract with Manchester United. And to attract the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, the Saudi club had to dig deep into their pockets. There is talk of a salary of €200 million a year for the top scorer in the history of football. And Al Nassr is rubbing its hands. In addition to his extra-sporting activities, CR7 has already been very decisive for his team.

After scoring twice in the Arab Champion Clubs’ Cup final, Cristiano Ronaldo made history at Al Nassr. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner scored 20 goals in 20 appearances for Al Nassr. That total takes CR7 into the top 10 of all-time goalscorers at the club he joined just eight months ago.

Also in the top ten is Brazilian Talisca, who is in third place with 63 goals in 80 games. Cristiano Ronaldo is currently in 6th place.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored another brace on Tuesday evening in Al Nassr’s 2-5 win over Al-Ittihad, his 19th Saudi Pro League goal in just 15 games. The Portuguese is on a roll in Saudi Arabia.

Titillated throughout the final, Al Nassr managed to win after a crazy match. Reduced to 10 men after Alamri was sent off, the Saudi Arabian vice-champions went behind in the 51st minute, but came back to score thanks to former Real Madrid star CR7 (74th). 1-1 at the end of normal time, extra time was needed to decide the winner of the final.

In the 98th minute, Ronaldo scored with a header after Fofana’s ball had hit the crossbar. 2-1 up, Al Nassr were outnumbered and had to fight hard. Ronaldo, who was already tired, came off injured with a tearful right knee.

The scoreline remained unchanged, however, despite Kalidou Koulibaly and Al Hilal’s assaults. Al Nassr thus won their first Arab Champion Clubs’ Cup thanks to the five-time golden ball winner.

Cristiano Ronaldo finished as the competition’s top scorer with 6 goals.
