Throughout this century, the world of sports has seen many great African footballers, and the lack of even a single African player in the ranking is astonishing.
No Samuel Eto’o, Yaya Touré, Didier Drogba, Sadio Mané, Mohamed Salah, or even Emmanuel Adebayor in the list of the top 25 players of the 21st century.
African stars have shone brightly in Europe since 2000, and not having a single name among the 25 ranked players is scandalous according to many. “Witchcraft is when Eto’o, Drogba, M. Salah aren’t there. And I wonder what the purpose of this list is?”
