But beyond the sporting glory, there’s also the financial question. How much did the French earn for their participation in this event?

The biggest check of UFC Paris 2 went to Ciryl Gane, who put himself back in the running for the heavyweight belt thanks to his brilliant victory over Moldovan Serghei Spivac.

Right from the start of the evening’s big fight, the Bon Gamin dominated his opponent outrageously before finishing him off by TKO in round 2. For this performance, Gane earned no less than $1.17 million, according to Sports Payouts, plus a $50,000 bonus for “performance of the evening”.

Behind Ciryl Gane, there were two other Frenchmen who made their mark during UFC Paris 2. In the evening’s co-main event, Manon Fiorot won by unanimous decision after an all-out war with former UFC strawweight champion Rose Namajunas. This prestigious victory earned Fiorot $155,000.

The third Frenchman to achieve a resounding feat on Saturday was Benoît Saint-Denis. The French warrior, who made short work of UFC prodigy Ismael Bonfim a few weeks ago, dazzled once again against Brazilian lightweights Thiago Moisés.

With this fine confirmation from BSD, he walks away with $115,000 plus $50,000 bonus for the fight of the night.

The other Frenchmen had to make do with more modest earnings. William Gomis earned $53,000, while Yanis Ghemmouri took home $16,000.

Morgan Charrière pocketed $78,000 for his impressive UFC debut, plus a $50,000 performance bonus.

Taylor Lapilus received $28,000, as did Nora Cornolle. Finally, Zarah Fairn pocketed $35,000.

In total, the French fighters earned around $1.7 million at UFC Paris, according to Sports Payouts estimates.
