According to journalist Romain Molina, Real Madrid’s star forward Vinicius Jr may be considering leaving La Casa Blanca to join the Saudi league.
While the Saudi Pro League’s interest in Thibaut Courtois has dominated headlines, Vinicius Jr appears intrigued by the extravagant financial offers from Saudi clubs. Backed by their immense oil wealth, these clubs have successfully attracted stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Karim Benzema, and Sadio Mané. If Real Madrid were to part ways with Vinicius Jr, it could become an exceptionally lucrative deal for the Spanish giants.
Currently regarded as one of the best players in the world, the Brazilian international is valued at over €100 million on the transfer market. However, Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez reportedly wouldn’t consider letting him go for less than €200 million. According to Romain Molina, Vinicius Jr’s entourage is playing a key role in his deliberations, with growing indications that a departure could be on the cards at the end of the season.

“Real Madrid is fully aware of the ongoing discussions. The player is highly intrigued, largely due to pressure from his entourage. The sums being offered are astronomical, not to mention the privileges tied to image rights. We’re talking about a historic contract, surpassing even Cristiano Ronaldo’s, something never seen before in football history,” revealed Romain Molina in a video that has gone viral on social media.
Saudi Arabia Pulls Out All the Stops
The future of Vinicius Jr at Real Madrid is looking increasingly uncertain. Although he has previously expressed his desire to stay, his stance appears to have shifted following his disappointment with the Ballon d’Or. According to Romain Molina, an irresistible offer could prompt Real Madrid to part ways with their star forward as early as the summer of 2025.
“There’s also this idea of making Vinicius Jr a high-profile ambassador. The Saudis have even discussed creating an international foundation against racism in collaboration with Vinicius’ inner circle, highlighting the scale of their commitment. His entourage keeps reminding him, ‘Look at what they’re willing to do for you; they truly respect you.’ Additionally, the Ballon d’Or remains a central topic in these discussions. His departure seems increasingly likely,” Molina added.
A Key Player for Real Madrid
Despite the rumors, Vinicius Jr remains under contract with Real Madrid until June 2027, giving the club full control over his future. This season (2024/2025), he has already scored 12 goals and provided 8 assists in 18 matches, establishing himself as a crucial part of Madrid’s attack alongside Kylian Mbappé.
