Sadio Mané will not be playing in the next two matches for the Senegal national team, the Lions of Teranga.

The team is set to face Mauritania and the Democratic Republic of Congo in the 3rd and 4th rounds of the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. However, the 2021 African champions will have to do without their star player Sadio Mané for these two matches.

The Al Nassr forward is injured and will not be able to participate in these upcoming games. “Having arrived injured for the national team, our player Sadio Mané underwent examinations on Sunday, June 2nd.

He is suffering from lesions in the biceps femoris and the lateral gastrocnemius aponeurosis. Consequently, he will miss the next two matches for the Lions, against the DR Congo and Mauritania,” announced the Senegalese Football Federation.
