Youssouf Sabaly could not play in the CAN 2023. At least, that’s what we can gather from his return to training with Real Betis today, 15 days after Senegal’s elimination. Aliou Cissé had therefore called him up without any assurance of his availability.

On Monday, the 30-year-old took part in Real Betis’ entire collective training session, as reported by Spanish media outlet ElDesmarque. As he is not registered for the Europa League Conference, Youssouf Sabaly will not be able to make his return this Thursday, February 15, against Dinamo Zagreb in the first leg of the C4 play-offs. However, the former Bordeaux player should be in the squad to face Alavés the following Sunday.
