Al-Nassr’s attacking force, alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mané, finds himself in the sights of another Saudi club.
As the main signing for Al-Nassr last summer, Sadio Mané has lived up to expectations. Approaching the end of the season, the 32-year-old winger has amassed 19 goals and 11 assists in 42 appearances. This tally surpasses his performance during his stint at Bayern Munich last season (12 goals, 6 assists in 38 matches), although the difference in leagues complicates any direct comparison.
Mané targeted by Saudi D2 champions
The Senegalese Lion winger (105 caps, 42 goals) appears to be flourishing. The signs are positive for another season in the Arabian Peninsula (his contract runs until 2026), unless an offer convinces him otherwise. According to reports from Aawsat, confirmed by AS, Al-Qadisiyah aims to recruit the former Metz player.
Promoted to the Saudi top flight, the Khobar-based club, owned by the oil giant Saudi Aramco, has pledged to build a team befitting its ambitions. Mané’s profile aligns with the grand project of the Red and Whites. To pry him away from the Yellow and Blue, the Saudi D2 champions would have to shell out no less than €20 million, equivalent to the player’s value on Transfermarkt.
It remains to be seen if the player himself will be open to a potential approach. Furthermore, they’ll need to convince the Saudi Arabian runners-up to part with one of their star players, as their primary aim is to enhance the squad with new stars, possibly this summer. This is a story to follow closely…
