As the battle for the Super Lig championship heats up, Galatasaray is already looking towards the next season. According to Turkish press reports, the Istanbul club’s executives are on the verge of making a massive transfer: Sadio Mané, and a big scoop has just been dropped.
Having arrived at Al-Nassr last summer for a fee of 40 million euros, Sadio Mané reportedly hasn’t found satisfaction in Saudi Arabia. Unhappy with his experience at the Saudi club, the Senegalese international is said to be seeking a return to Europe.
In this context, Galatasaray has reportedly reached out to his agents to explore the possibility of a loan deal. According to A Spor, the Turkish club is now seeking a loan for the two-time African Ballon d’Or winner, a condition that Al Nassr would reportedly accept.
Sadio Mané sets a huge condition for the loan
While discussions between the two parties seem to be well underway, a sticking point could potentially hinder the operation: Sadio Mané’s salary. The 32-year-old player is said to be demanding an annual salary equivalent to what he currently earns at Al-Nassr, which is approximately 30 million euros. This is a substantial sum for Galatasaray, which will need to find financial solutions to finalize the deal. According to the media, Al Nassr is willing to let Sadio Mané go to the Turkish club on loan for a year for free. However, the Senegalese player is asking for more effort from the Saudis and wants Al Nassr’s management to contribute to his hefty salary.
A historic transfer for Galatasaray?
If Galatasaray manages to complete the transfer of Sadio Mané, it would undoubtedly mark one of the most significant transfers in its history. The arrival of the former Liverpool and Bayern Munich striker would give a considerable boost to the Istanbul squad and make Galatasaray a serious contender for the championship title next season.
Discussions between Galatasaray and Al-Nassr are ongoing, and the coming weeks will be crucial in determining whether Sadio Mané’s loan will materialize. One thing is certain: this rumor is already stirring up the summer transfer window and promises to be an incredibly interesting saga.
