Aliou Cissé is to sign a contract with Libya with a record salary. The former Senegal coach will lead the national team for two years, with an option to extend in the event of qualification for the 2027 CAF Africa Cup of Nations.

The Libyan federation has pulled out all the stops to attract Aliou Cissé, with a salary of €76,000 per month (around 49.4 million FCFA).

This makes him the second-highest paid coach in Africa, just behind Vladimir Petkovic, who earns €135,000 at the helm of Algeria.
