It is well known that Arsenal has found success in recent years by acquiring players from Real Madrid. After Mesut Özil and then Martin Ødegaard, the Gunners are now hoping to secure another maestro from the Spanish capital.
According to a report from OK Diario, the North London club has been captivated by Brahim Diaz and will attempt to lure him back to England this summer. Mikel Arteta is said to be a huge fan of the young Moroccan international, and Arsenal is reportedly willing to offer a sum of €70 million to secure his services. However, the attacking midfielder doesn’t seem keen on moving this summer. In a recent interview with El Larguero, the 24-year-old made it clear that he wants to succeed at Real Madrid:
“I will make the most of the minutes they give me. I am happy at Real Madrid. It’s the best club in the world, and it’s a dream to play here. Of course, I want to stay here for many years. I want to succeed.”
So, the Gunners have a tough task ahead if they want to convince the Manchester City academy graduate to leave Spain. Valued at €20 million, the Malaga-born player has scored 8 goals and provided 4 assists in 32 appearances across all competitions this season. Under contract with the Madrid club until 2027, Brahim Diaz earns a salary of €7,290,000 per year, which is approximately 4,738,500,000 FCFA.
